As a QHSSE Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensure the safety and well-being of all stakeholders, as well as the sustainability and quality of the CO2 infrastructure through its lifecycle.
Your main responsibility is to develop policies and procedures for the area, contribute to our risk management, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement in QHSSE practices.
In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating communication about the area towards authorities, external and internal stakeholders and sub-suppliers.
Your responsibilities
As QHSSE Lead you will be working with authorities, the appointed Notified Body, as well as external and internal experts, support the maturing of Danish safety regulations on CO2 transport and establish the appropriate QHSSE management framework for Evida CO2 to meet them.
You will be in charge of fostering a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible workplace where staff can ask questions and voice their concerns, being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes. It is your responsibility to promote a culture of continuous learning, encouraging the team to learn from successes and failures.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Policy Development: Creating and implementing policies and protocols that ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
Stakeholder Management: Managing relations with authorities, Notified Body, and specialist subcontractors, including identification profiles, timesheets, invoices, and quality follow-up.
Communication: Communicating policies, protocols and procedures to employees and subcontractors. Conducting training sessions to educate employees and subcontractors about QHSSE standards and practices.
Risk: Identifying potential risks, including security risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Reporting: Ensuring construction meets quality standards through inspections and audits. Reporting on QHSSE performance and proactively communicate risks to support timely mitigation.
Continuous Improvement: Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements. Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments.
Preferred qualifications
You hold an engineering degree in a relevant field and bring over 10 years of proven experience within key engineering disciplines, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
Your technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills are excellent, enabling you to analyze data effectively, identify trends and improvement areas, and resolve safety and compliance issues.
You are proactive in building strong professional relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients, and you communicate fluently in both Danish and English.
You bring exceptional organizational, and interpersonal skills that motivate teams to achieve QHSSE goals. With a keen eye for detail, you proactively identify and address potential hazards, while remaining calm and effective under pressure, even when juggling multiple priorities.
You excel at resolving safety and compliance issues and communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and presentations.
Your adaptability and flexibility make you thrive in fast-paced and ever-changing environments.
